Welcome to episode 66 of Slightly Unmitigated, a casual talk podcast about the WFS of spirituality, self-improvement and motivation with a lifelong delusional optimist who used to suck meditation. I’m Tisha and I’m very excited to welcome Jen Gilcrest to the show. She is a soul alignment and success mentor that that just even sounds awesome.
So I’m super excited about it. And her website is Soul success unleashed.com. And so first, let me welcome you. Hi Jen, and thank you for talking, me, talking to me this afternoon. Thank you so much for having me. I love your topic already. It’s so, uh, powerful and important for people to get this type of information right.
Thank you. From your lips to the universe’s ears. Um, first I wanna say about your website and I’ve looked at a lot of websites just in, in like looking for answers and information and even for guests, but you have so much free stuff on your website, like really important but easy to read kind of information.
And I just spent like two hours reading through all of your articles and, and like the workshops and stuff you offer. So I super appreciate that. Um, I know I get frustrated by something I’m super interested in and then you click it and they’re like, buy this $5,000 workshop today and you can have the answer.
So kudos to you for doing that for other people. Thank you. I think, you know, it’s part of my purpose. I feel called to be of service to the world. And I know that, you know, we have to meet people where they’re at. And I know I appreciated a lot of the fruit information and books and things like that when I was first starting my spiritual Awakening journey, which is, those are the people that I help too.
And I, and so I definitely feel like, you know, helping people far and wide is amazing. And then of course you have other ways that you can go deeper if people resonate with it, with you, you know? Yeah, absolutely. Well, that’s why I do this podcast. I have nothing to sell. This does not align with my normal, you know, regular job that pays the bills.
Um, and I feel the need to keep doing this and keep introducing people that maybe, um, people on their journey wouldn’t otherwise be aware that exists, if that makes sense. Yeah, absolutely. Um, so can we start with your journey of spirituality? Were you always like this, uh, did it happen in childhood? Did you know something was up or did it happen later?
Well, these days, I like to say that I feel very blessed. My life’s pretty amazing. I, I like to call it that my life is a spiritual retreat. And what I mean by that is as meditation, Zumba, um, painting, I mean, every year for my birthday, I go for like six years in a row to swim with hundreds of wild dolphins, eye to eye, the spiritual retreat to just rejuvenate.
And I consider all of these things really a part of my everyday life. And workday at this point in time. It’s like this divinity in action. This balance is what really helps me sustain my life and build my success. And it was definitely not always this way. I think by the age of 30, I was on this hamster wheel of society’s version of success.
I was a single mom by the age of 20. I built a six figure business doing hair and makeup, uh, in my late twenties. I bought my own home by the age of 30. And you know, I’m wearing all the hats. Soccer game practices, networking, managing the house, managing the bills, you know, everything. And I felt like I was on this perpetual motion of just trying to keep up with the day, like life was just taking me for a ride basically.
And on the outside though. But all looked put together and good, you know, which takes more energy. And so, you know, I felt like literally life was taking me for a ride. And about 12 years ago now, I, things came to a crashing halt. Literally. I had been at a friend’s house, we were having a few glasses of wine.
It was kind of like the normal culture to go have some wine before we have to go home and deal with the things. You know, s birthday, we’re celebrating and I’m driving my home. Next thing, you know, on my way, driving home. And I ended up flipping my car, rolling it twice, ending in a ditch. All of my windows were completely crashed out.
And thank goodness, fortunately nobody else was. Involved, and I wasn’t physically injured, but this was a real wake up call for me. Like I couldn’t keep, I knew that I had to do life differently. Like I knew that wine and chocolate was my basic form of stress relief at that time. I knew nothing else, and that wasn’t gonna work anymore.
I needed to find other ways to not be so frazzled and overwhelmed and numbing. Um, but I didn’t know how. So I prayed. I didn’t know, you know, I was raised in a very Christian family and I was like, okay, I just wanna pray. I just want, really wanna be happy at that peace. And through that, uh, that prayer, basically my grandfather came to me to dream and he reminded me.
This, that I wasn’t alone. I was like, I, I get my heart all going when I think about it. Because it was like this visceral dream where he was standing behind me reminding me that he was there. You know, the angels, God, the universe, you know, there’s all this spiritual support there waiting to help me with all of this mess of my life that I’d created, but that I had to go back and face it.
But I wasn’t alone. And I remember waking up with this very, like, the sense of peace and hope in my heart that I’d never experienced before. You know, I didn’t have all the answers, but I had this like sense that, you know, what things are gonna be okay. And that’s pretty much really the beginning. I wouldn’t have had the words for the spiritual awakening, but you know, that’s when things just ba synchronicity.
I was led to read probably every self-help book you could possibly find in the next six to nine months. I started seeing, um, and hearing angels and my grandparents, I could communicate with them. Like all of a sudden this like awakening really happened relatively fast. Which was exciting. And then at the same time a bit overwhelming because I didn’t feel equipped, like I didn’t have the tools to know how to manage a lot of the sensitivities.
Yes. So fast forward, I had my first psychic reading, and at this time I wasn’t totally sure if I even believed in psychics. Hadn’t given it much thought, you know? And uh, but I went and she actually explained to me in more clear words about how I was feeling in my life, uh, than I could have articulated.
And then she said I was gonna do what she was doing in five years. And I was like, that sounds cool, but I don’t know. Um hmm. Well, she was right. So I got very clear on this quest that I wanted to help others, like awaken their gifts and their sensitivities. But there was basically, even though I was awakened, there was two, two main reasons why it didn’t take off very well initially.
And one of ’em was, I cannot imagine how I’m supposed to tell my family, my hair clients, my friends about this lovely awakened psychic food of past life, angel car mediumship self. I was like, yeah, no, we’re just gonna keep that a little separate, you know? No way. Uh, I was totally in the spiritual closet.
And then the other one was, I was petrified of public speaking. Like I, I learned, I was highly sensitive and emic, I hadn’t known that before, which was actually in part what led to my, we can talk more about that later, I’m sure, but. This public fear of this. But public speaking fear was huge. So bad that I actually convinced all my high school teachers to let me do my oral reports in the morning or after school, because I was this quiet a, a honor student.
I’m like, I’m not doing it. Can I please come before? And they’d let me do it. And I didn’t join a networking group for two years just because I had to say one sentence to the group about my business. And these, you know, these visibility fears really have been, were keeping me small, hidden, and stuck. And so I didn’t really grow for several years.
And I finally got serious about it when my angels were having a talk with me. And before you know it, God has a funny sense of humor. And I found myself at this Client Attraction Summit. I’m like, okay, I’m ready to attract clients. I’m stake in my claim. I’m ready to do this. And the next thing you know, they’re talking about speaking.
And I was like, and I start arguing with my angels, have you ever argued with your angels? I was like, what? That’s in the future because I saw this vision of speaking and writing books, but I’m like, that’s way down the road. They’re like, well, I mean you can push it off or you can do it because that’s your next step.
And so here I am in this group conference of like 300 empaths trying to make this decision of this huge, you know, for me a financial investment of like $22,000 was a lot to me at the time to learn my biggest fear, you know, and I sat with myself outside and I did this technique that I can share later with your viewers if it, if it resonates with the, called the TLC Body meditation.
And I talked and it’s like talk, listen and commit. Like what is it? Is this aligned for me? And I got really clear that I. When I listened to my heart and my intuition, I cultivated that trust that I leap in alignment with my vision. But if I listen to my mind and my ego and my fear, then I’ll let all those blocks hold me back.
And so I got very clear that this was my next step. And so I ended up basically moving through my fears and ta facing my visibility fears head on, and then taking the program, which by the way, I didn’t even have my mortgage payment in the bank that month, and it was like a thousand dollars payments for 22 months.
But I just trusted that process and then now I get to find myself here, uh, with all of you. It was really the fast track to aligning with my purpose so that I can share, and, you know, my message really about awakening your gifts, really aligning with your purpose so that we can all collectively make that ripple effect of healing in the world.
And so that’s my honor to be here sharing with people like you and your audience. Well that’s, that’s an amazing story. Um, can we just touch real quick on the dolphin thing? Is that, is that an actual retreat that you can go to or is that your definition of a retreat? Well, it’s my favorite type of retreat, but it is a retreat that, you know, you can go in Ha Kona, Hawaii, and of course laws are beginning to shift a little, but you can still go to Kona on the big island.
And they have, uh, where we stay Is this a retreat center? That is where the do wild dolphins like to hang out. Mm-hmm. 38, 50 feet, a hundred feet off of the shore. And so you can swim with them. Of course you don’t touch them or anything like that. You don’t, you wanna just kind of honor that you are their guest in their home.
And uh, but when you do that, they will come up and swim eye to eye. They’ll play the Leh game. I mean, I’ve had, like, I’ve probably gone on at least 40 or 50 different Wild Dolphins swims, which, you know, is just always the most amazing thing and unique thing. They’ve awakened, they’ve healed, they’ve, they’ve brought so much, um, enjoyment, play and pleasure, you know, that’s what they live.
Yeah. But then also they’re very smart, wise healers. You know, and so it’s just a matter of, you know, in that part of Hawaii you will happen on, happen onto them, you know, and they’ll come and hang out with you if they, if they like your vibe, if they like your vibe at this point, you can still take some dolphin trips out there too.
So there are some tours that you could take. And they are in the wild only, I don’t do the captive ones well, yeah, of course. Oh, that’s amazing. I was not aware. They actually had dolphin retreats and, um, so now I, I definitely have to look into it. Um, do you do a lot of retreats? I, in my beginning, um, I’ve only been to like one retreat.
I just was at a conference in Colorado and it was my first time just last summer with like-minded individuals and it blew my mind so much that oh my gosh, it’s not just me. Like there are so many other people. And so that was like my favorite epiphany of last year. And. To me, this podcast was my calling.
I, I question it. I’m feeling disillusioned. We talked briefly about that word before the show, um, about like, kind of my whole purpose. Am I doing the right thing? It might just be a mood, who knows? Um, so I’m curious, do you stay on track with like going to retreats and staying with people? And then a second part of that question is what happened when you came out of the spiritual closet with your family and friends?
Ooh, good juicy questions there. Loaded. Yeah. The first one is, yes, I try, I do try to, you know, of course this last couple of years travel’s been a little bit less so I didn’t actually go last. Was it last? No, last year. Actually went for a whole month to Kona with my daughter. Oh. So I made my own retreat and we did Swim with the Wild Dolphins, but we did that like on our own, me and her vacation, which was something I’ve really wanted to do for a long time.
So I do always value retreats, although, you know, um, sometimes they’re not always the exact same ones. Sometimes it might be me making my own private retreat by taking a vacation of my own that’s meant to unplug and just rest, rejuvenate and have some fun. Um, but I also do like to maintain, um. Going into more formalized ones because it’s nice for us to, you know, I think especially as women, but not only for sure, but as women, we’re, we’re natural nurturers.
We’re giving to everybody else. We’re kind of in our programming to actually take care of everybody else’s needs before our own. Uh, especially if, I think if you’ve got children or you own your own business, it’s so easy to not take that time for yourself. And so what I love is to go there and have somebody cook for you, have somebody have massages on site, have, you know, not have anybody or responsibilities to have to answer to.
Like, I think that in and of itself, it helps me reset when I do that retreat around my birthday. It resets my energy for the whole year. I get this clarity of focus when you can fully unplug that reins inspires me with passion and with insight and, you know, new ideas that I think if we don’t give ourself that time and space, whether it’s a formal retreat away from home or a weekend, weekend on s by yourself.
We lose that we can get into the grind and the hustle and then before you know it, you find yourself out of alignment and you don’t even know how you got there. Yeah, well that, what you just said really resonated with me, like getting away just for having no responsibilities. It never occurred to me to do it for that purpose or actually to do anything for that purpose because I’m the person that will go on vacation, but I wanna see everything because I, I may not get back there, and so I have to see what’s going on, but it never occurred to me to just leave and enjoy the feeling for a few days of not catering to anybody and just having people make you food and doing that kind of thing.
So That’s brilliant, and I appreciate that you mentioned that. And I do love the adventure too. I like to find that balance, you know, that balance of at least the unplugging from work, whether you’re doing something fun or you know, swimming with the dolphins or doing a zip line or some adventure. You know, giving that time to just like, let responsibilities go because I feel like we can so often just have so many people pining for our attention and energy that we forget to, you know, kind of override what our needs are.
And then before you know it, we find ourselves in burnout, you know, so it’s really Right. So do you do retreats on your own? I am looking forward to doing them. I haven’t, I haven’t led them, uh, yet. I mean, in terms of me taking people, yeah. On my radar big time. In fact, when I went to Hawaii last year, a friend of mine owns a retreat center there, and so we started talking about that as things are starting to open up and be a little bit more easy to travel.
Right. Yeah. Brilliant. That’d be exciting. Yes. Especially the good reason to go to Hawaii too. Right? Favorite place ever. It’s like my sacred heart. You know, I, I went in the water and I was like, oh, I’m home. You know? There’s just something very, um. Grounding and relaxing about Hawaii. At least for me. I like the big island.
Well, I haven’t been, so I’ve definitely not on my radar. I appreciate that. Um, so about coming out of your spiritual closet, when you have to tell your friends and family, Hey, guess what? I have special, um, special insight into things that, um, you know, might freak you out a little bit. It was definitely a journey.
It was not like a Okay, I’m just gonna rip the bandaid off and tell everybody. I would say it was sort of like this progression over, over a level of, of years, and that’s kind of where it took me a little while thinking I kept myself a little stalled in my business was because I took a slower, slower approach.
I didn’t really realize how much it was gonna trigger my family initially. I tried to use words carefully and say, okay, you know, guess you know, I’m hearing, you know, I get angels. I thought that was a neutral enough. Topic. Right? Why would God give us angels if we weren’t allowed to talk to them? Right?
But I mentioned that it’s like, oh, that’s the devil, uh, tricking you. You know? So when I first stepped in and I started having a conversation, it was kind of reflected back like. That’s actually scary, right? And so that’s what kind of pushed me back in, in a way to where I really set that com compartmentalization.
I had to do, um, really work on myself. You know, for me it’s like I set that out there and then it didn’t go over well. So I kind of hid back for a while. And then I had to do that inner journey about really, you know, letting my parents have their own beliefs separate from my own, not having to need their approval, not having to worry about their judgment and know that, you know, what, if they don’t understand or, or totally approve of what I, what I’m doing or understand it is really from my perspective, to me, it’s really all the similar, same thing, trying to go to the same place, right?
Right. Go language you wanna use. But for me it was like I had to do that inner journey about not meeting other people’s approval approval. And I think that whether it’s spiritual coming outta the closet or anything, like I think we’re, we’re, we don’t realize how much we have this need for other people’s approval that guide us sometimes and limit us from really shining our light and sharing our gifts.
And so once I started really on that journey of self-love and, and releasing those fears about other people’s opinions. Basing my self worth on what my family’s family’s opinion was. I, I, I was able to go out and not worry or be concerned about it. And the interesting thing is because I’m really close with my family, I mean, of course we just, we just don’t talk about my business much because it’s not a common topic that they’re interested in.
But that elephant in the room was really only there when I was really worried about their opinion about it. As soon as I dissolved that need for them to actually like, support me in a big way or get it, um, that dissolved, and so we can just be, you know, and I realized it really just took my courage of owning my truth and speaking my truth and, you know, loving myself.
First that allowed me to do that. Yeah, I, so I can relate to that a little bit. It, um, when I started this podcast a year ago, almost unbelievably a year and a half ago, I didn’t tell people I knew that I was doing the podcast. And it wasn’t because I was embarrassed or whatever. I didn’t want their energy.
I’ve grown up where people don’t get me and what I do and my crazy ideas and, you know, all these wonderful things I’m trying to manifest. You know, I’m kind of used to that backlash from people. Um, so in this case, I got smart and I protected my energy from that for like the whole first year. Um, so I didn’t have to have to worry about all of that stuff rattling around in my head.
I was very secure in what I was doing and confident, even though like you, public speaking was sort of my nemesis in school as well. Although I just discovered through my human design that um, this is what I’m supposed to be doing is speaking my truth and not visualizing, which blew my mind. I would not have seen that coming.
So after the year, I was super. Still a little nervous, like, okay, I’ll be like, oh, what else is she doing now? I’m used to that kind of a eye roll situation. And um, then when I did put it out there, it was like it didn’t matter any much, you know, very much. People said, oh, cool. And moved on. So there was no big presentation or, you know, something that I needed to build up a lot of anxiety about.
Um. Learning about monkey mind, I’m able to kind of, you know, take a step back and not let that take over. Absolutely. I mean, you kind of mentioned a good, I mean, a couple of points that light up for me when you talk about that is, you know, it, it’s true. It’s like you, I think it’s important, especially for those people that may be drawn to creating their own business or following their calling or their purpose or, or having an awakening.
Because when we have an awakening of sorts to different degrees, it’s going to usually mean that what used to work for you in your life and who you were, you realize isn’t really a true reflection of you fully. And so therefore it doesn’t work for you in the same way that it used to. So you, you’re going to go through a level of change and sometimes that in between of that change where you’re like, okay, so my old life or who I identified with is no longer working, or the job or whatever doesn’t work for me anymore.
However, I’m in no man’s land and I’m not sure exactly where I’m going. That’s an important time to, and to give yourself that space of not taking in everybody else’s opinions and ideas and judgements or fears because it might sway you. And so it’s like as you, soon as you start to find people who can support you almost in your vision or hold that vision that you’re not crazy.
You know? Like for instance, a lot of nobody in my family is an entrepreneur. So they’re always like their energy about my just being self-employed, which I’ve always been, has been, well, what about your security and your retirement, your 401k? You know, all these things. Like, that’s their fear about not having that security.
But if I’m not careful as a sensitive and an empath, I might take their fear in and I have over the years as my own. And it could dissuade me from really trusting and going for my dreams. Does that make sense? And so really it’s important to. Right. So I’ve been, I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for 15 years.
I’ve been, I’m a freelance writer to actually pace the bills. Um, this was a calling for me. This is something that I would not have seen coming, but I heard it like, start a podcast. This is what you should call it. And truth be told, I feel like that was the last time I heard something come through. Right.
And now it kind of feels like, like there’s these walls that keep appearing and I’m not sure how to get through them. I feel like I’m honoring myself. I feel that I’m honoring my intuition. I’ve always followed my intuition even before I kind of knew what that meant. Mm-hmm. And so, I know this sounds weird, but I feel like the more I learn about spirituality, the more I suck at it.
I think it’s just the more we’re aware of where we’re not aligning with ourselves in some way. You know what I mean? So I think you’re doing amazing. Just having the courage and the, and the confidence to hear it, know it, say it, do it. You know, you put yourself, you have that blend of putting it into action, which I think a lot of us don’t.
Sometimes I notice for me, um, you know, it’s that fine line of the, the intuition is really coming through. Like we all have, what I would say, male and female energy, men or women, doesn’t matter your gender. We all have both masculine and feminine energy. And the feminine energy is that intuitive. It’s that receptive.
It’s that creative, it’s that inspiration that comes, right? And then there’s the masculine part of ourselves, which is what puts it into action. And I think that what we’re learning to do is sometimes we don’t give ourselves permission, like in the workspace to access our intuition. We’re so programmed and used to just like, oh, we almost cut that part of ourselves off.
If we start going, going, going, and then all of a sudden we’re not creating space. And so this is where that daily dance of, you know, I begin my. Workday with my hot tub and meditation and some journaling for like an hour or two, and then it eases into what am I gonna do for the day versus opening up my emails and listen, looking at my notifications and letting my expectations and demands of others, you know, basically in my mind, direct me.
We wanna switch that pattern. And so sometimes I find that it’s hard to, it’s like there’s, part of that is just like breaking down the barriers of giving ourselves permission to have that intuition present while we’re taking action. And so it’s about, I, to me it’s finding that daily balance helps me to stay more in flow in that way so that the actions that I am taking feel good.
Right, right. So a, so a lot of times, like flow is a great word for me right now because I feel. I don’t, stuck is not maybe the right word, but I feel like I keep falling out of flow. Like I’m on the inner tube of life and it just keeps dumping me out on the bank and like what is happening right now? And I can’t tell if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.
And that frustrates me because being a person who followed their intuition for so long and it got me to this point, and then I feel like they’re like, see you later. Like, parents are leaving. See you later. Good luck. And I’m like, what? What am I supposed to trust? I don’t know if it’s a trust exercise. So.
So my angels are something I’m learning about now. Mm-hmm. And. And again, for me, a uh, a routine is very hard for me to stick with. Mm-hmm. I hate the word routine. I think this is where I get tripped up because then I’m like, well, I’m not meditating enough and I’m not journaling, I’m not doing this, and so I’m blocking myself because I’m saying.
I can’t do all these rituals because I was an awesome manifester before I learned about all these stupid practices. Perfect. Right. To figure it out, you know? Right. So then I start to, I think I’m like, I start berating myself, well, you’re not meditating enough. That’s why things aren’t happening. Oh, well you’re not doing this and that’s why you didn’t burn incense properly.
And that is why your manifester is broken. And I’ve talked about my broken manifester many times on this show, so people are familiar with me saying this, this is not new for me. Teach Encount yourself. I think collectively the energy is heightened. I mean, the last couple of years it’s just been a massive change as to me.
This whole experience, what we’ve been going through as a collective, as a society, you know, as the world. It’s like a dark night of the soul for like the collective of everyone individually. We’re the micro of the macro. And so for those of us that are more. Sensitive. I mean, we are more sensitive if we’re tapping into this.
Sometimes it’s just that we’re feeling the discombobulation of what’s happening in the air around us. And so it almost is important to double down on the things that bring you balance, right? That might look different from person to person. So finding those routines, one mindset shift could be even looking at it from the space of a devotion to feeling good, right?
So what things are you devoted to versus a discipline? Because I, I get it, I, I get resistance as well. But when I realized that, when I devote myself to making the priority, ’cause it really is sort of an act of self love to look at, like, what does my body need today to feel good and to feel aligned. What is it that I actually need in order to feel good and aligned with myself?
And then honoring and giving ourselves that, right? Whether it’s different from day to day. A walk might be what you need, you know, maybe it is journaling. What I find is that when we start to just create whatever space that is and really listen to ourselves, we start to get unblocked, right? And we start more into flow.
We just have to create an opening for it. Well, I think that’s the problem I have is that I came. To intuition naturally. So even as like a kid before I, again, before I understood all of this meant I was doing it from the gut. If, if I felt it, I did it. Like I got it. So now I feel like I’ve kind of taken my power away by like drowning in all of this information.
Well, one good thing to also know is that no matter how messed up we think we’ve done or did or didn’t do something right or perfect part of it’s about being kind to ourself, right? Just gi getting, giving ourselves that permission to not be perfect and just be where we’re at. But it’s like at any moment, any time we can align to that higher path, again, it doesn’t matter how down in the dumps we feel or how messed up life is, or how much money we owe to a credit cards or how much whatever happened.
It doesn’t at any point. We have the power. To find that alignment again. Right? Yeah. So, but it’s, part of it is that accepting of what is and letting go of not. ’cause when we’re beating ourselves up, we’re often our energies in the past to a degree, we’re reminiscing, we’re ruminating, we’re judging, we’re being critical.
Right? Or the future, what we have to do. And so whenever we can just be accepting of like, well. What is, and what’s the next step I can do to actually feel better and get aligned again? And often that just starts with something small to your body that may or may not be meditation specifically may be exercise, it may be more water, it may be something simple.
But when we take those small little steps, one or two at a time, you’ll notice that your energy can shift. Um, very quickly. I, you just said something earlier too about collectively as the dark night of the soul. So I went to Gaia convention and, um, it was the immersion convention and it was an amazing experience.
Like the, the energy in that room was something I’ve never felt before, but I always forget that part of me, I, I become a human too quickly. And then I forget, like it took you saying that for me to go. Duh. Like, why didn’t I consider that in the last few days when I just feel like a wreck? Like I feel terrible for no specific reason on my end, but I forget about that as a collective experience.
And so I know in the past I’ve had some counsel for mediums and intuitives who are like, why don’t you trust the process? Why don’t you trust yourself? And deep down, I know that’s probably it, but I’m not sure how to wrap my head around it either. So as a per, as a person who kind of, it came onto you quickly and unexpectedly, this is sort of something I’ve always known but not really knew how to tap into.
So like how do you, I mean, you, you have a pretty good connection to your angels, but for those of us who haven’t learned that yet, like how do you stay on that, that zone as well? And just like, remember your spiritual part in addition to your human part. Yeah, I mean, it does take a little bit of like a ping pong match in our brain sometimes.
So it’s always the first step of anything is awareness, right? Having the awareness that, oh my gosh, I’m in my head, or oh my gosh, I’m ignoring my body. You know? So you can set yourself up for success in some ways. So I feel like there’s a lot of directions I could go is I’m gonna synthesize my thoughts.
You can put a little post-ops, like sometimes what I would do when I was having a, maybe a rougher patch, I think the more that we have busying our mind or stress or worry, sometimes we get ahead of ourselves. Um, you can put a little notification on your phone. I had a little tree, a palm tree, and a heart and admit ground and come back to your breath in your heart and your center.
You know, just like nobody else had to know what that meant. But I, you could set that timer three o’clock in the afternoon or every couple of hours, remind yourself to just do a quick connection with self break, right? Just sort of creating those little things that can help you remember to connect back with yourself and to slow down, even if it’s just a five minute bathroom break, if you’re at work or at a family gathering and you’re overwhelmed to just sit.
And connect with your body. In fact, the TLC body meditation could be a good tool I could share right now. Oh, perfect. Yes, please. There’s this place of like self-care, self-love, taking care of yourself. But it means talk to your body, listen to your body, and then commit to your body’s needs and how you can do that.
And I can’t tell you how many times I had to reset myself. As soon as you notice, you’re scrambling in your mind. It’s like, oop, hand the worry over to your angels center, back into your peace, and then just take a few deep breaths, right? So I would go in the bathroom at the salon all the time when I used to work in the salon because I’d be overwhelmed and I’d go bathroom break.
Okay, pause, take a deep breath and say you’re feeling anxiety or procrastination or anything. You can use this many ways, but let’s just pick an emotion that maybe is overwhelming. You either stuck, anxiety, procrastination, you take a moment, you just tune into your body. So first you need to connect with slowing down the mind.
So that’s like just breathing in. Breathing out, right? You start to gather your energy into the present moment from all of hustle and bustle. ’cause the mind is what really creates that stress. So I gotta get present, focus on that breath. So you’re gonna talk to your body and you’re gonna say like, where is this anxiety stemming from?
Where is this anxiety in my body lodge, in my body where, or the procrastination or whatever you’re hitting, right? Where’s this anxiety in my body? And then we gotta listen. So this is when it’s that practice of like getting quiet. And you might notice maybe you have some tension, right? When your body’s talking to you with some pain or tension, there’s a stuck energy there.
That’s a good place to start. So you put your attention or awareness there, maybe even your hand if you can, you know? And if not, you could just notice, oh, maybe your attention goes to your belly and just your hands are natural healer. So it’s like, okay, I’m gonna put, I’m gonna put some awareness here.
You’re talking to me and I wasn’t listening and now I’m listening. And then you have to listen. Well what? And then you can ask, you know, what can I do to bring myself into. Alignment or peace or action if you’re in procrastination, right? And then you have to listen and notice what thoughts, feelings, or ideas come to you.
And most of the time they will be a simple flash of, oh, I should take a walk. Oh, I need more water. Oh, Taylor Swift, shake it off. Lemme out and sing. Right? What is it? Right? It’s usually something in our body that we have to connect back to. There’s a disconnect between your spirit and your body because your intuition and is simply the communication between your human, physical, self and spirit.
Your body, your, I mean, your higher self or your angels and guides, right? So there, if there’s a block in communication, our information is often something is stuck here. And so if we pause, talk, listen, what’s the answer? And then you ought to commit to the answer. ’cause sometimes we’ll say, well, I don’t have time for that walk.
I’ve gotta get this project done. Well, I don’t have time. I’ll do that later. Oh, I, but I need my coffee. I don’t need water right now. I need coffee. I’m tired. Right? And so then we don’t listen and then of course nothing’s gonna change. But if we take the time, what I would offer you to say is that you probably don’t have time not to listen.
I remember my very, very first webinar, so stressed out. Okay. The first time I was doing it, yeah, I have to do it all. Perfect, you know, and I had all these notes and I was trying to figure out, it was, I was already nervous because I had tot talk in front of people and had to do it perfect and all that, so I couldn’t get it written.
And here it’s coming and what, three days, two days. I mean, it’s just coming up on me. I was getting more and more anxiety about it and I couldn’t, I was blocked. And so then I, I did my meditation, you know, and they’re like, you need to take an ocean break. And I was like, I’d been pushing off, not making spot time.
I don’t have time to sl up. I don’t have time for a massage. Well, at that point I pushed it off so much. They’re like, you need to go take a whole day break, drive lady, go to the ocean, which is two hours away. And I was like, ah. But I’d learned that I didn’t have time not to, so I did. I was so frustrated. I just drove and just being in the ocean, being in the water, you know, when we’re in nature, that is.
Helping us to naturally, if we can just match the energy of the nature, listen to the sounds, feel the feet, feel the wind, feel the water. You are naturally coming into an alignment with yourself, with flow, with, with that communication of your intuition, with just being in sync with the flow of life, which means that you’re at a new position to receive the information or have the idea to take you where you wanna go.
And so when I did that, I took that break ’cause I was so stuck. And then on the way home, the whole workshop I’ve been trying to do for the whole week, that I didn’t have time to take a break from dropped in, I wrote it out when I got home and you know, it all worked out, right? But so you have to commit to the action, right?
And if, if we are doing this type of balance with ourself on a daily basis, as best as we can, we’re not gonna be perfect, but as best as we can, and we start to recognize the signs. When we’re out of alignment, what are our unconscious coping patterns? Are we numbing? Are we netflixing? Are we drinking? Are we doing something in the name of escaping, of not feeling that misalignment to push through?
Well, the longer that we do that kind of, the more of a reset we’re probably gonna need. So if we do that on a daily basis, even if it’s a couple times a day, or at least once a week, you won’t need to do as much to find that center again. But if you push it, you might have to actually just. Take a retreat, take a day off.
Do you know what I’m saying? And so I try to hone that daily dance. It’s not perfect, but when I don’t heed that call, because otherwise it’s just gonna get harder, harder work until you get sick, boom. Until you get a forced time off because you didn’t listen. You know what I mean? Well, I’d like to point out to my listeners that us, you’ve heard me in so many episodes, say that my manifester iss broken, I’m not aligned and all blah, blah, blah.
So the last few days I’ve just been like a human. I’ve been sucking at it and I didn’t care. You know, I was doing my, uh, binge watching thing ’cause it’s cold and gross here. And I came back from a trip and I was really high when I came back and I was so excited. And then nothing like, it was just like crickets.
So that, that gets me down. That makes me feel like things aren’t working out. But I wanted to specifically point out to my listeners. That here, the universe gives me this guest who tells me exactly what I need to hear, who hit every button that I need pressed in this moment. Um, imperfect and divine timing right?
As always. So everything you said was meant specifically for me. I know this for a fact and I hope everybody else listening got something as well because. When I am in alignment, I know it. I feel it. I know what that means. And it’s funny because all the examples you use are those things that I beat myself up about.
I should take a walk, I should drink more water, I should do this thing. So like those examples weren’t random. Those were very much my examples. Um, so I appreciate that. And I also appreciate too, when you say, when I hear other people say, oh, when I’m having my bad days, because when I’m going through it, I feel like it’s just me.
Like all these great spiritual people, all, they just never have a bad day. And so it takes me hearing other people who are aligned, who get it, who practice way better than me some days and then say, well, gosh, I tripped up too and ate a tub of ice cream and binge watch Netflix. Right? So those things are important and I hope that’s what I bring to people as well who feel like they fell off a, off their train of whatever they were doing.
It’s interesting ’cause a couple months ago I started writing, um, things I would get during meditation, which I never did before. And one of those things, I don’t have it in front of me, but it was something along the lines of, it doesn’t matter when you fall off the path, like, or where you fall off the path, you can get back on basically without any repercussions.
And it’s funny how many times that phrase has come back to haunt me later in life. So I am a writer by trade and I struggle with journaling because when I write, I am in writer mode. So that doesn’t work for me. And then when people always say, well, you’ve gotta journal it out. And then I get frustrated because I’m like, no, it doesn’t work that way for me.
Can you, and this is just a thought that comes to mind, have something I like to do. Maybe do a q and a with my, either my higher self source directly or your angels and guides, right? With that stream of consciousness. And so I will often, so here’s like a little tool that I, I like to do. It keeps me in balance.
And it’s interesting. You can try one or. All of them or whatever. But what message does my soul have for me today? Or what message, what message does my soul have for me today? Starts to, if you ask a question, like, since you’d like to have a container, right? You want a container for your structure, for your writing to go through.
So if you’re asking, well, what next step can I take to be in alignment with my higher path today? What next step can I take? Like, would that maybe give your intuition and those thoughts a way to journal onto the paper, but with your higher self, with that intuition speaking to you so that you can get your next steps of, of where you’re being guided to go.
Does that make sense? It does. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So I like, ’cause sometimes you can use journaling. I have a whole 21 day journaling course too. It’s like there’s many different ways you can use journaling. You can do it for dumping out your feelings or your stress or your frustration. But I like to always, I’ll do this in my morning routine.
I’ll ask my body. What message, what message does my body have for me? And then I’ll do this whole thing in five minutes. It’s like, and I’ll write out cute, what message does my body have for me today and my intention to be aligned or energy or whatever it is, and I’m, Hmm, okay, definitely more what now?
Jot that down. What message does my soul have for me today to be in alignment or whatever your intention is? I get my little idea, then I ask my angels, and then I ask source directly, like the creative energy, the whole consciousness of all that is whatever your relationship is with that label. Right? And so it’s interesting because I will get.
Different replies because I’m asking a different consciousness, that answer. But all of those things together, when I really do that regularly bring me into this holistic balance of body, mind, and soul in a really beautiful way. And am I perfect at that? No. Just like you said. No, no, no. I mean, some days it takes me 20 minutes just to feel like, and I teach meditation for 10 years, love 12 years now, however long it’s been, right.
And I still sometimes go, wow, it took me 20 minutes to feel like I even could get grounded, but if I didn’t do that, how much worse off would I be? Versus other days you can get to that nirvana space. So it’s always, some days are easier than others, right? It’s about not having to be perfect about it, but making the attempt to, to honor yourself and your feelings and your needs and whatever that may be.
And you’ll find that you’ll just feel a lot happier and more inspired and more aligned, and those ideas will start coming. Sometimes we just don’t create the space for ’em. Yeah. Question. You know? Yeah. Actually, I’m very guilty of not creating space, and I do admit that because I get wrapped up in things like, well, I created space yesterday and this didn’t happen.
Right? Like, I’m, I’m the inpatient person. Yes. Yeah. And then when I come back, I’m like always happy to come back and things make sense. And I know this, you just happen to catch me on one of those days where I’m like, how am I gonna do, how am I gonna record a show? I’ve actually, this was one of the first times I’ve ever recorded where I was kind of in this frame of mind.
So it’s kind of interesting how it turns around and how I feel. Even the TLC thing, the practice that you just did, that’s the first time anybody ever explained it to me that way. Like they say, oh, explore your body and, and, and those kind of meditation prompts. I get that. But something specific you said about I feel it where it hurts, and immediately I felt like my shoulders glow.
Like where I always have knots, but I felt them glow for the first time. And however you said that, I have to go back and listen to that. And that was like a super simple, very fast answer that I got without me having to sit in meditation for 30 minutes. Totally. Yeah. And then where you do it, the faster that communication between you and your body will come.
And so when we heat that call sooner than later, then you know what, we don’t actually get as stuck because we’re actually more on a flow. And actually I wanna acknowledge you, you are in alignment, right? Sometimes our human cells do get frustrated and we can be hard on ourselves to, you know, this and that.
But you know, for, for this alignment of me and on your show today, look, it happened. We didn’t have a tech issue. Nothing got in the way of it. You actually are getting your own answers while you’re serving others, right? So, and that to me shows. Alignment. Right? Sometimes our mind, our ego, our, you know, doubts, wants to say otherwise, but that’s not really our true self that’s stemming from outside of ourselves on some level, right?
So I would say, um, there’s proof that you, you are more aligned than you’re giving yourself credit for. I, and I know this too, I go into the kitchen, I do not look at a clock without seeing age old numbers, um, very specific songs we’ll play on the radio. Like I am hyper aware of synchronicities and I love them, but then when I get in this frame of mind, I, I am like petulant about it.
Like, yeah, whatever. It’s 4 44, I don’t care. You know? And then I, and then I kinda feel like that, but. Every episode of the show has been like a document, like a documentary of my learning process. And I wasn’t meant, uh, I guess I was meant to, but I didn’t start out in doing this on my own journey. It wasn’t about my journey.
I was like, Hey, I really like talking about this stuff. And then it became a journey, um, or at like captured my journey, which is crazy. Like you said about public speaking and now you’re a speaker is the same kind of concept. So sometimes your purpose will surprise you. Um, how do you, how do you work with people who are looking for their per Okay.
People who are looking for their purpose, or at least who think they’re working on their purpose only to find out it wasn’t their purpose, right? Like area, be the part of the path that took them there. So this is where as we grow and evolve spiritually and as we chug along on our path, right? We get more and you know, our purpose and how that looks, changes and shifts.
And this is where it’s important to do those check-ins with yourself and giving that time and space to yourself to know when we are in alignment with our higher self and purpose, you’re gonna, I mean, not that, that we’re, we’re gonna be stretching our comfort zone. So don’t get me wrong, you will have to work through, it’s the biggest spiritual work you’ll do, probably because you have to address your fears and doubts, and your miracles are on the other side of some kind of fear or some kind of new thing that our ego doesn’t understand ’cause we haven’t experienced it, right?
So there’s a level of being able to feel the fear and do it anyways, but overall, you’ll feel inspired, you’ll feel aligned. When you’re aligned with yourself, you’re gonna feel passion. So your passion. Like you mentioned, you love talking about spirituality and your talks, right? So that is a core part of your path and your purpose, at least at this time.
You know, maybe that will hone in and change and shift in terms of your focus, or maybe it won’t, but for this period of time that that is your purpose. So I think it’s important to, to recognize that when we’re aligning with ourselves, when we are expressing ourselves. In our life, in our business, even our relationships from that trace space of who we truly are.
That is, that is part of your purpose. Now, some of us might feel so inclined to do a business or to share our gifts with the world in some way. And again, we wanna keep checking in with that point because how our purpose wants to be manifested mm-hmm. Can be many different ways. We do get to have free will of choice.
We do get to have preferences as human beings in terms of how that gets brought out in the world. I think sometimes people get hung up on, they want this whole perfect plan laid out. You know, this is the blueprint, and then I can just follow it. You know what I mean? I, I used to think that, I used to want, right?
But the reality is, is it’s not really that way. Right? We get one or two at a time, we go along, and if we start feeling like we’re hitting roadblocks, maybe what used to work no longer is because you’re being called to pivot. Doesn’t mean that your purpose wasn’t, your purpose or what you’ve done was wrong.
That was a part of the path to get you to where you are now. Okay, so now you’re recognizing it’s not no longer working. So now there’s been a shift. So we gotta go in, do that work. What’s the next level of the expression in order to unlock the next little yellow brick road? Wow. I just got an answer that punched me in the gut.
Like physically punched me in the gut that the things that I used to do to get me where I was, I was fearless about a lot of things and still kind of am, but now I’m realizing to get there from here, I need to go into myself and the spirit. Wow. That that was a solar plexus punch. Sorry, that was so real time.
That kind of blew me away. Well, and I’m gonna bring this to this point too, ’cause you’ve mentioned trust quite a bit and a lot of times the solar plexus, in my experience, will have to do with kind of power, a power struggle of some sort where we’re trying to control our power and so in some ways, releasing and opening up that solar plexus is requiring us to actually have deeper trust with ourselves.
Yes. And that’s actually tied in that, that trusting yourself is about, um, kind of clearing off that solar plexus a bit, perhaps, which would be interesting. And, and sometimes it could do with us forgiving ourselves for past things that we, you know, sometimes there’s a level of, there’s many different things.
So it could be many things. But if there’s any time in our life that we may, let me just say, I’ll raise my hand. Have you ever made a decision that you regretted or you think you did wrong or you didn’t do right? Or if you just should have, would’ve done something differently? Right? So, or even I was in such unhealthy abusive relationships in my twenties, that was part of my path, right?
And I think, oh, what, you know, I put my daughter through watching this messiness. And, you know, there’s all this stuff of, if we are living in that space, there’s a part of our sense that ticks off, oh, can’t trust you. Oh, can’t trust yourself. Oh, you made a bad decision. Oh, can I can’t trust yourself. Right?
So that, that if we haven’t forgiven ourselves for something in the past that didn’t pan out as we wanted. Oftentimes that will disillusion our ability to actually trust ourselves in future decisions. And so we’ll actually hold ourselves a little bit apart from it. ’cause we’re afraid, afraid to trust ourselves in that way.
Does that make sense? And so that could be part of what’s tied in. ’cause there’s a level of surrender with a solar plexus that needs to happen as well. Right, right. Hard to do if we’re holding ourselves on this judgment. Yeah, that’s probably extremely relevant to me. Um, my solar plexus is also something about my, um, human design as well.
I have not explored it like officially to get all the, the details of that. Um, but I have been doing a lot of like. Uh, learning about that. Um, and, and shockers in general kind of trying to, but again, that’s where I get it trapped into the ritual thing. Well, I have to do a shocker clearing, then I have to do meditation, and then I have like the Grinch in the movie where it is like, I have to beat myself at four o’clock, you know, whatever.
And I, and that’s what I hear in my head sometimes when I get all wrapped up in it. But then when I, but I know better also, I know that if I just come and sit and be quiet, like that’s where the answers are. And I forget until someone like you comes along and so graciously reminds me and, and gently reminds me that, you know, that’s where the answers are.
And even though I know that I, I forget to trust the process. I guess people enjoy the TLC because part of that is because as impasse or as sensitives, right, we house a lot of those uncomfortable feelings and fears and doubts in our body somewhere, right? There’s a repressed something somewhere. So the, the more that we’re awakening, we have to actually, there, it’s almost, it’s, it’s inevitable really as we awaken more to who we are, as we embody our higher self energy more and more, which is essentially our ascension journey on the energy level, right?
As impasses, we feel more comfortable up here and we’re being called to ground more into our body. So these exercises of getting present with yourself and making time in the feminine energy of receiving the answers and all of these things I’m speaking to, requires you to be more present to your body, which means we’re gonna feel all the pockets of things that we’ve shoved down, repressed, held onto that actually don’t feel that great.
Yeah. Right. And so. That’s sometimes where we resist going into that quiet space because then we’re gonna be having our body kind of talk to us rather loudly, right? We’ll have to acknowledge those feelings and those pockets of emotions that have been, uh, kind of housed there that we haven’t let go of.
Now, the funny thing is, is if the avoidance and the resistance of it, what keeps us in this holding pattern that doesn’t feel good, whereas if we just go in and we actually feel it and surrender into it, it just is gonna melt away almost immediately a lot of times, right? So it’s kind of interesting how that that works, but that’s why most senses feel better out here.
When you start going grounding and meditating, you’re coming in, you’re like, oh, that’s stuff I wasn’t really wanting to deal with. And when we expand in our purpose work, or we ask to be at the next level or more visible in our purpose work, or we ask for more clients, or we want to, you know, step in and have, and, and have the intention for something we don’t already have, well, by nature, you’re already gonna light up all the things and all the fears and all the downs that are misaligned for you being a vibrational match to have it.
When we can welcome those things and kind of go, oh, okay, this is uncomfortable, this is an edge. But I know on the other side of this is the expansion. We can’t go the expansion without addressing this. We just, it’s always gonna be in the future. We’re not matching it. So it’s almost like when we can look at it from that perspective, it helps us to kind of go in head on a little quicker with it.
Because we know on the other side of it is what we’re asking for is the answer to our prayers is the, is the, the fruition of what we’re manifesting. So you’re talking about me having to put up Instagram videos, right? Because I’m resisting that wholeheartedly. Yes. Well, you wouldn’t be the first. I mean, we, most classes sensitives I know because I work with mostly sensitives, um, you know, and, and purpose work.
And people, you know, we, we do have a lot of visibility fairs on different levels, many of them, and they, they stem out in different ways, right. Yeah, I have wonder about that because it’s like the one thing where I feel like, okay, well, you know, we wanna spread the word and we wanna get other people like listening and doing this and, and then I always come to that, oh, I have to do stuff like on, on social media and yeah, so is that my blocker?
Maybe. So do things like, there’s two folds on that. Honestly, sometimes it’s a matter of, well, if it’s just the job itself that’s tedious, well then sometimes we’re resistant to hire the help that we need. It’s about receiving support. It’s about trusting that we’re supported, trusting the money will come.
It doesn’t often come the other way. Oh, I’ll get support when the money’s here. Well, I hired a virtual assistant before I even launched my business, and before I’m eight months, before I made a dollar online, because I would never have launched due to the tech. So if it’s like, if it’s like a, if it’s a something that’s blocking us, that has to do with that, sometimes it’s about us leaning in, trusting and receiving the support that we need to delegate.
One, two, usually it’s multifold, um, is visibility. Fear is a huge one, right? I most, and sensitives, it’s like if I put myself out there, if you don’t have good energetic boundaries, if you don’t know how to have your energy spiritually autonomous to matching the collective energy around you, you are gonna get pinged with more and more attention, judgment, potential, whatever, and just overwhelm with honestly other people’s attention on you is just, can be overwhelming until you learn how to have your energetic boundaries, where you don’t have to take it in and take it on.
You can put your video out there and people can think of you and do all that, but it doesn’t penetrate your field. What I find stops a lot of impasse is they don’t have good energetic boundaries, in which case they get slaughtered with energy of all the attention, even positive or negative. And they don’t, they can’t handle that.
So every level of like wanting to grow your, for instance, how many listeners you have on your podcast or for me, how many people I have in my group programs, there’s a level of upleveling how much energy, attention I can handle, and that means I have to uplevel and strengthen my energetic field in order to be able to not be bombarded by that amount of attention.
Interesting. Very interesting. That’s one big one that I don’t think everyone really realizes. That’s huge. Yeah. I never, it never occurred to me like that before. Wow. Something to think about for sure. Yeah. So yeah, this is what I work with a lot of people teaching ’em meditation, like how to clear out the energy and uplevel your energetic boundaries, because when you do that, you’ll let yourself be seen on a bigger level.
So what other programs do you offer? Are you, do you just work with like lightworkers kind of, um, people like that. Are you working with newly awoken people? Uh, how, how does that all work out for you? I work with both. I would say it’s pretty split. I have different types of programs I offer. I do like smaller monthly workshops, which is just sort of like a one-time workshop theme.
Each month I have a different special you saw that, you know, or different topic that I kind of tune into the collective community and I think, oh, what can be serviced today on different areas of awakening? And then I have, uh, you know, a program to teach people how to, how, I promise you monkey mind over here, you can see I like the chat.
You can imagine our voices just as fast. And so I had to learn how to do that, uh, meditation. But to the technique I teach is a little different. It’s about cleansing and flushing everybody else’s energies so that you can have a stronger energy boundary and walk through life connected and embodying your higher self.
And when you do that, you start to really strengthen your energetic boundaries and you can go out and actually kind of have your higher self channeling through your body. That’s what you really want throughout the day, not just when you’re in a meditation. You wanna be able to walk through life from that higher truth perspective.
Uh, and then it just sort of, it’s an, it’s really an awakening journey, right? And I teach people also how to cultivate their intuition on a deeper level three month program called Soul Success unleashed. So there’s quite a bit of different things, but I would say half and half. It’s usually the people I talk with have, have realized they’ve gone through a level of spiritual awakening.
And the work that I do ultimately is helping them clear their fears and blocks. S learn about themselves, how to empower themselves instead of feel overwhelmed as a sensitive person. And then by the end of it, they’re really getting aligned with their purpose work and feeling like they’re getting out in the world.
And then the other half of them are, have gone through awakening as well, but maybe they’re hitting fears and blocks and want more momentum to get their purpose work out in a bigger way. Either way, the programs meet you where you’re at, right? Your inner internal healing basically. And then empowerment tools to use, uh, to guide yourself, right?
To find that alignment, to read your own blocks, to clear your own blocks so that you can more proactively create what you want. Yeah, absolutely. I loved, um, I dropped my notes. I loved all of the information actually on your website and I will put it on our social media and stuff for other people to go read about it.
I mean, you talk about, uh, soul contracts and soul searching. I found that interesting because I don’t often come across articles about soul searching and I read like every word of that. I really appreciated that you have information about that. ’cause it’s a word that people throw around but not really explain what, what they’re talking about.
Like they just use it a little too loosely sometimes. Um, so I really appreciated that and. I mean, everything that you’ve taught, the TLC, do you have a video of, of that or any of your meditation on your website? I have a really awesome, uh, it’s called Blissful Living Bundle. It’s a free gift. I’d love to share with your viewers because based on our conversation today, it’s really packed with things.
I have the TLC body meditation, so it walks you through a guided version so that you can learn to do that for yourself. It also has an end of the day meditation to release. It says releasing clients, but honestly, you could release clients, family, friends, you know how to make those separations so that you can find your own autonomy again and feel good.
Um, and then there’s a whole video training where I teach you a bit more about how to op, how to recognize your intuition, how your intuition speaks to you, how you can hear your angels talking to you, how you can really get in alignment with the synchronicities. And receive those messages so that you can use them as a guiding post for your life.
Because that really is, when you’re tapped into your intuition, when your actions and your intuition are aligned, success happens, right? Manifestation happens quickly. And so there’s a whole eight hour or 90 minute training, um, around how to do that and how to, how to really recognize your signs. So your viewers might also enjoy that.
Oh, there’s also one more thing I think, which reminded me of you earlier, which was the, um, the coping, ’cause we’re all gonna get out of alignment with coping, like unhealthy coping mm-hmm. Exercise to have your awareness about, well, what are we doing that self-sabotaging? What’s our self-sabotaging patterns?
And then how can I make those some empowered choices instead, like, what are some empowered things that I can do instead? And just with that awareness, you can start to shift and that’ll really help the day-to-day to alignment with not letting the overwhelm and burnout really build up. Perfect. All that really comes in one little bundle.
It’s really, for me, it’s almost like how to empower yourself as a sensitive Right. And navigate your journey. Yeah. Actually I was just watching a documentary about highly sensitive people and um, I, I just found the whole thing like super interesting and, and wonder how many people don’t realize that a lot of what they feel isn’t theirs.
Like I still have a hard time wrapping my own head around that. Like, um, wow. Right. Well I just realized that’s what let my dark eye soul. I was a hairstylist suck taking on clients’ energy all day touching. And so I didn’t know that when I got off of work I was just like sucking it up, you know? And so that really, the energetic, overwhelmed will manifest into real world overwhelm and that was really.
A big part of what led me to my awakening and honestly the public speaking, A big part of my fear with that was also being highly sensitive with no tools, no boundaries. Because I was like deadpan stare. I’d feel all the judgment from the people in high school and then I’d get frozen like a deer in headlights and I leave my body, didn’t know I left my body, have no idea what I was saying, and just wanna go run and hide and not come back to school.
So I didn’t wanna do them. Right. So all of that is like, I had no clue of any of that language until way later. Right. I think that people don’t realize that they’re likely if they’re in this genre listening to this, especially this particular episode, likely in that spectrum somewhere. Yeah. I have trouble understanding what, who people, like people who aren’t sensitive, how they feel.
Like, I thought everybody was kind of like this. And um, I’ve talked before about this, like the challenges of being, like for instance, as my daughter, I was a child, um, growing up and she would get in trouble for something and I. We, you know, we’d be punishing her or whatever, and I would be like, oh, my heart’s broken, because I felt like what she was feeling, or I couldn’t go to like concerts because I couldn’t stand to be around all of that.
Um, and it took a long time before I actually, this is so weird, but I’m sure a lot of people do it where you Google things and they’re like, oh, empathic tendencies are like, really? And so I finally got a book about it and it helped me understand like, oh, not everybody does this. Like, I have a hard time understanding that not everybody kind of thinks this way and feels this way.
So I might have to do a whole other show where I like talk to people who aren’t like this. Yeah. And well, and what you brought up is kind of, I think is really great too. And I think I was almost on the other. Into the spectrum. I felt like I was just crazy with my mind spinning all the time. And you know, over, like people tell you, oftentimes people might even feel like they’re the only ones.
So the great thing about the show is you’re also bringing awareness to people who may have thought like, I’m too, why am I too sensitive? Or, what’s wrong with me? Or why am I this way? Where sometimes we’ve been told we’re too sensitive over to this or we’re too that by people who aren’t as sensitive.
And so then you feel like you’re, something’s wrong with you. That was a big part of the highly sensitive documentary that I watched where they said with the little kids who are, you know, like first and second graders, they’re being told in school are at home, well, you’re too sensitive and you’re too this, and these labels stick with them for the rest of their lives because then they grew up thinking, I’m too something.
You know, I’m always too, so. Yeah, and I have to expand. It’s like, it’s almost like just our extra sensory feelers arm are turned up 25% louder than everybody else. So like you said, concerts, overwhelming shopping at the mall at Christmastime, like the worst nightmare for a sensitive, you know, like, I’m not going in there.
Yeah. I, that’s overwhelming. You know, it’s like you sense it before you go. And then that’s really, this is what I love about helping people with that because it doesn’t have to be that way. It can be your biggest gift sensitives when you know how to ground your energy and when you know how to protect.
Like shield not, and I don’t like the word protection actually. I have a different school of thought. I elevate our energy to not have to take on the lower energy. So when you learn how to have energetic boundaries that you’re not taking on everybody else’s stuff, your intuition is already tapped in wide open.
You just don’t have a clear receptor. Right. So part of what could be too, when people get stuck. If they’re not doing all the stuff to clear their space, they have so much gunk and static that they can’t connect with that information that’s there because they have everybody else’s energy they’ve absorbed and they just spin out and they can’t connect with their information.
Wow. I just had the most incredible sense of deja vu. I love, I love that. Yeah. Because I’ll have to talk to you again about em, like empathic tendencies. I think that’s a very, so you offer a course for that for people who are sensitive to kind of manage what’s going on. That’s great. Okay. Well, I’ll make sure I’ll put all that stuff on, um, for people who are interested.
Absolutely. And I, you are so wonderful this Friday. I appreciate you very much for helping, um, get the message out about all of this. Um. I mean, you touched on so many things, I don’t even know what my favorite part was. So I appreciate it. I appreciate you showing up and getting this out in the world, people, because I know that more and more people are waking up and more and more people are searching and Googling just like you did, just like I did for this information.
And you know, the right people are gonna find it, and it’s gonna be, you know, helping them in a big way. So you’re doing amazing work in the world. Thank you for having me. I, I appreciate it. And you are doing just as amazing. I, I can’t thank you enough for everybody listening. I hope that you’ve learned a little something about yourself and feel inspired to keep learning.
